1st Day: Errachidia - Ziz Valley - Merzouga Desert

The 3-Day Desert Tour from Errachidia to Marrakesh starts with a pick-up from your hotel/riad in Errachidia and depart toward Merzouga. First, a stop will be made at the Ziz Valley which is a picturesque and fertile valley located in the eastern part of Morocco and well known for its stunning landscapes, lush greenery, and the Ziz River that flows through it, also considered the second longest valley in Morocco.

Furthermore, continue the way through Erfoud town which is renowned for its rich fossils including ammonites and trilobites, also, its surrounding desert landscapes have been featured in several movies, including “The Mummy” and “The Prince of Persia.” 

Afterward, arrive in Merzouga and start an experience that everyone should do at least once in a lifetime which is start the camel ride to the middle of the dunes to watch a vibrant sunset from the top of the great dunes.

Later, continue the camel ride to the desert camp where you will be welcomed with Berber Whiskey (tea with mint), enjoy dinner and enjoy the breathtaking starry sky with Berber drums played by locals, and sleep in nomadic tents.

2nd Day: Merzouga - Rissani - Todra Gorges - Boumalne Dades

Waking up early morning is a must-do to contemplate the vibrant sunrise in the middle of the Erg-Chebbi dunes. After breakfast, you return with camels to Merzouga village and commence the second day toward Boumalne Dades.

First, a stop will be made in Rissani to explore its vibrant market which is more lively three days a week ( Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday).

Later, pass through Erfoud, Jorf, Touroug, Tinjdad, and Tenghir where will stop to stroll and enjoy the breathtaking natural landscapes of the Todra Gorges, a famous place for rock climbing with its big canyons that reach up to 400 meters.

3rd Day: Dades Valley - Valley of Roses - Ait Ben Haddou - Marrakech

After breakfast, we commence the last day of the Errachidia desert tour to Marrakech. To begin. The first stop will be in Kalaat M’gouna known as the Valley of Roses, here a festival takes place annually in the last week of April or the first week of May, bringing visitors from all around the world to enjoy the atmosphere of the festival in which the local show their traditions and special dancing which is called Ahidous. 

Later, pass through Idelsane, Skoura palm trees, and Ouarzazate to visit the Atlas Studios (optional) and the Taourirt Kasbah. 

Next, continue to visit the famous Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987 and a stunning example of a traditional Moroccan fortified village, several movies were shot in this ancient Kasbah such as The Mummy, The Man Who Would Be a King, Queen of the Desert, and Lawrence of Arabia…etc in addition to TV series like Game of Thrones and the Amazing Race.

After a free time for lunch, we continue to Marrakesh through the High Atlas Mountains and the Tizi N Tichka pass offering spectacular views of the mountains and the Berber villages located at the edge of the mountains.
