Day 1: Arrival in Casablanca - Rabat
The journey starts with a pick-up from Mohamed 5 airport in Casablanca, the economic capital of the country where you can visit the second largest mosque in Africa, the famous Hassan II mosque, one of the highest temples in the world and one of the few mosques where non-Muslims are allowed to visit, from there we continue our tour to Rabat, we will transfer you to your Riad or Hotel.
Day 2 : Rabat - Asilah - Tangier
After breakfast, we will have a few important points before we leave Rabat. First, Rabat has been the capital of Morocco since 1912. Second, an administrative and university city that consists of three zones, the oldest located on the opposite side of the medina is known by the name of Chellah.
Third, this future great city was surrounded by a huge perimeter of walls leaving outside it the ancient settlement known as the Kasbah of the Udaia, in addition to the famous Moorish cafe overlooking the river Bou Regreg and a beautiful Andalusian garden. Fourth, within the perimeter of the walls of Rabat is the Hassan Tower, the third great Almohad minaret.
Then, we leave Rabat and depart toward Asilah, which is a small coastal town, undoubtedly one of the most beautiful in northern Morocco, with its small neat, and clean medina characterized by white houses with blue doors and windows and walls decorated with colorful drawings of the famous art festival that takes place in summer.
Then we continue to the gateway to Africa, Tangier, one of the most vibrant, mysterious, and interesting cities of Morocco, the visit to the city includes the caves of Hercules, the entrance to the cave faces the Atlantic and offers a spectacular view reminiscent of a map of Africa.
In addition, visit Cape Espartel which is the point where the Atlantic and the Mediterranean meet. Accommodation in hotel/Riad.
Day 3: Tangier - Tetouan - Chefchaouen
After breakfast, we commence the third day toward Chefchaouen. First, we will make a stop in Tetouan,(Tittawin in Tamazight, the eyes in English), nicknamed the white dove, or the daughter of Granada, it has been the main summer residence of the Moroccan monarch Mohamed VI.
Furthermore, we will continue our tour to Chefchaouen, arriving in time to enjoy the sunset, visit the colorful city, and stroll through its streets, among its old houses of blue and white. Accommodation and breakfast at the riad/hotel
Day 4: Chefchaouen - Volubilis - Meknes - Fez
After breakfast, we depart in the direction of Fes, through the Rif forest until we reach the ruins of the Roman city of Volubilis, you will visit the ruins with a local guide, and continue towards Meknes, the name of the city was derived from the Mknasa, which was an Amazigh (Berber) tribe.
First, a visit to the great door known as “Bab-Mansour”, its columns were looted from the neighboring archaeological site of Volubilis, and is the most beautiful door in the whole country.
Also, the city was founded as an Almohad camp, the important city is the one founded by Sultan Moulay Ismail in the seventeenth century. Afterward, we depart to the city of Fez. Accommodation in the Riad/hotel.
Day 5: Fez Sightseeing Tour
After breakfast, this 5th day of the tour is dedicated to exploring the highlights of Fes city which is one of Morocco’s oldest and most fascinating cities with its rich history, culture, and architecture.
First, we start the guided tour by visiting the Royal Palace Gate. Also, Bou Inania Madrasa is an amazing example of Marinid architecture in addition to the University of Al Quaraouiyine, which is the oldest existing educational institution in the world.
Furthermore, Chouara Tannery with an excellent vantage point of the tannery workers and the beautiful example of Islamic architecture of the Attarine Medersa. Moreover, Bab Bou Jeloud Gate known as the Blue Gate serves as the main entrance to the Old Medina.
Finally, enjoy the panoramic view of Fes near Merenid Tombs, offering a peaceful setting and great views of the whole city.
Day 6: Fez - Ifrane - Cedar Forest - Merzouga Desert
After breakfast, we depart toward the Middle Atlas to visit Ifrane, a city known as the city of the lion and one of the cleanest in the world. Next, visit the Cedar Forest to see the wild monkeys (the macaques of Gibraltar).
After lunch in Midelt, we will continue the journey through the Tizi Talghemt, or Female Camel pass, at 1907 meters of altitude. Afterward, we arrive at Errachidia and follow the Ziz Valley until we reach the palm grove of Ait Chaker, heading towards the desert.
Then continue to Erfud, an area of fossils and well known for the best quality of dates, the whole road is full of charming villages until we reach our destination, ”the Desert”. There, a welcome tea awaits you in a place of silence and tranquility that are typical of this marvelous place. Overnight at the hotel/Riad.
Day 7: Desert - Nomads - Mines - Overnight in Camp
After a delicious Berber breakfast, we will get into the 4×4 to start our tour around the dunes of Erg Chebbi, (desert region with dunes). Among the many stops that await you, we will discover how and where nomadic families live, contemplate spectacular landscapes, and palm groves as well as a stop in a village to enjoy a beautiful concert of Gnawa music, the music of the former black slaves, while sipping a delicious tea.
Then back to the hotel. There the “desert ship” (dromedaries) are waiting for you to start a tour of one hour, making our way through the dunes, until we reach the heart of the dunes to see a beautiful sunset from the top of the great dunes.
Later, continue the camel ride to the desert camp where you will be welcomed with Berber Whiskey (tea with mint), enjoy dinner and enjoy the beautiful starry sky, and sleep in nomadic tents.
Day 8: Desert - Todra Gorges - Roses Valley - Ouarzazate
Waking up early morning is a must-do to watch the colorful sunrise in the middle of the desert. After breakfast, we leave the desert and start the 8-day tour toward the Valley of Roses passing through Tafilalt, Rissani, Jorf located along the right side of the Oued Ziz, Ksar of Touroug, and Tinjdad surrounded by thousands of palm trees.
After lunch, we head to the Todra Gorges; a series of limestone canyons where you can stroll in the canyons that look like two hands about to clap.
Afterward, continue through the beautiful Valley of Dades (fig area) to reach Kelaat M’Gouna – Valley of the Roses – which is a town lively during May thanks to the Festival of Roses that takes place annually, an event in which the locals show their diverse culture to the visitors including the Ahidous Dance which an ancient Amazigh (Berber) dance for entertainment with two lines, one of the men and the other of women but they’re separated, moving from one place to other.
Finally, arrive in Ouarzazate, with the possibility of visiting the Kasbah of Taourirt which was the residence of the last Pasha of Marrakech. Accommodation with dinner and breakfast at the Riad/hotel.
Day 9: Ouarzazate - Ait Ben Haddou - Marrakech
After breakfast at the hotel, we start the 9-day tour toward Marrakech. First, around 30 minutes from Ouarzazate, we reach the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben-Haddou, a mud village that has been fortified since the 11th century, and also declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, in addition, in this fantastic village several Hollywood movies were filmed such as the Mummy, Gladiator, The last temptation of Christ and TV series such as Game of Thrones and the Amazing Race.
Later, we drive through the road of the curves known as Tiz-N-Tichka pass (2260m), the “road of the pastures” which offers spectacular panoramic views.
Finally, arrive in Marrakech and transfer to your hotel/riad.
Day 10: Marrakech - Guided Tour in the Medina
In the morning after breakfast in the hotel, you will visit Marrakech; this name was the name of Morocco before, and it is derived from the Amazigh language Amur N Wakuch, which means the land of God. Its history is linked to different dynasties that made it their capital and has almost always dominated the history of Morocco.
Furthermore, in this vibrant city, you will discover the famous Jemaa el Fna square, which for several centuries has been the most incredibly popular theater in the world with snake charmers, musicians, dancers, storytellers, pythonesses, actors, and fortune tellers. Also, this square was declared an intangible heritage of humanity by UNESCO.
Moreover, visit Medersa Ben Youssef, the Menara, the Museum of Dar Si Said, the Agdal Garden, the Saadian Tombs, the Majorel Garden, the Yves Saint Laurent Museum, Badi Palace and Bahia Palace. Day 11: Marrakech - Essaouira
After breakfast, we depart to the city of Essaouira (Mogador) one of the romantics. The history of this city dates back to the 7th century when the Phoenicians founded an enclave, in the 15th century the Portuguese settled in this enclave founding the city of Mogador as a strategic point of military control.
First, discover the UNESCO-listed medina with its well-preserved fortifications, narrow alleyways, and blue, white buildings. And stroll around numerous shops, art galleries, and traditional crafts.
Furthermore, visit Skala which is a historic seafront rampart offering panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean, considered an amazing spot for sunset time.
Next, stroll around the bustling port to see the atmosphere of local fishermen at work. What’s more, experience the lively Moulay Hassan Square, a central gathering place where there are a lot of Musicians and guitar players. Accommodation at the Hotel/ Riad.
