Outlined below is the program details of the 5 days Casablanca Desert Tour to Fes:
Day 1: Arrival in Casablanca
We will meet you upon arrival at Mohamed V airport in Casablanca, then we will transfer you to your riad or hotel.
Depending on your arrival time you can have the opportunity to visit the most important places in Casablanca.
Day 2: Casablanca - Marrakech
In the morning after breakfast, we will head toward Marrakech; a city founded in 1062 by the Almoravid dynasty who gave the name to the whole country, Marrakech is known as “Al Madina al Hamra” (the red city).
It later passed to the Almohad dynasty, then went through a period of decadence until the 16th century when it became the capital again under the Saadies dynasty, the period ended in the 18th century with the transfer of the capital to Fes, the important spots are, the Kotoubia Mosque, Saadian Tombs, Bahia Palace, and the lively square of Jamaa el Fna.
Nowadays, in the evenings, a multitude of street restaurants open in the square as well as snake charmers, storytellers, musicians, and card casters. Accommodation in Riad/Hotel.
Day 3: Marrakech - Ouarzazate - Valley of Roses
The third day of the tour starts with a pick-up from your riad/hotel at 9 am and departs Toward Kelaat M’gouna, crossing the famous way of curves Tizi N Tichka that crosses the high Atlas Mountains.
Along the way, stops will be made to enjoy the beautiful landscape of the green mountains with an elevation of 2260m, full of charming Berber villages, and one of the best places to enjoy photography.
Furthermore, we continue the way to visit the Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou; a mud village declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, and in this fantastic village several movies like Gladiator, Queen of the Desert, and Lawrence of Arabia were filmed.
After free time for lunch, we continue the journey to Ouarzazate: a city known as the gateway to the desert or the Hollywood of Africa. A stop will be made at the Kasbah Taourirt.
Afterward, continue traveling to reach the village of Kelaat M’Gouna in the Valley of the Roses famous for producing natural cosmetics, and the Roses Festival every year usually in 1st week of May. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in the Valley of Roses.
Day 4: Valley of Roses - Todra Gorges - Merzouga Desert
After breakfast in the hotel, we depart to Merzouga. Firstly, a stop will be in the Todra Gorges where you can stroll through the beautiful gorges, enjoying these breathtaking landscapes of the canyons full of Amazigh villages and palm trees.
After lunch in the Touroug village, we continue the journey until we reach the Sahara desert to start the camel ride to the middle of the Erg Chebbi dunes, a place of silence and tranquility, as well as watching the sunset from one of the highest dunes, then continue the camel ride to the desert camp where you will spend the night in Berber tents under a starry, open sky
Day 5: Merzouga Desert - Ziz Valley - Fez
Wake up early morning is a great idea to contemplate and marvel at the impressive African sunrise from the middle of the dunes. After breakfast, we leave the desert toward Fez.
Along the way, we will pass through Erfoud, the Tafilalet palm grove, Ziz Valley, and the reservoir of Errachidia.
After lunchtime in Midelt, we head toward the Cedar Forest in Azrou to see the wild monkeys known as the Macaques of Gibraltar, in addition to visiting Ifran town, known as the little Switzerland of Morocco. Finally, we will arrive in the evening in Fez.
And it will be the end of our service. We can also transfer you to Casablanca or Tangier or any place (extra charges).
