Day 1: Arrival in Tangier city

The 14-Day Desert Tour Tangier starts with a pick-up from Tangier Airport and a visit to Tangier city known as the Gateway to Africa, one of Morocco’s most vibrant, mysterious, and interesting cities.

Day 2 : Tangier - Asilah - Rabat

After breakfast, we leave the beautiful Tangier and start the 2nd tour to Asilah; a small coastal town, undoubtedly one of the most beautiful in northern Morocco, with its small, neat, and clean medina characterized by white houses with blue doors and windows and walls decorated with colorful drawings of the famous art festival that takes place in summer.

Firstly, a stop of 1 hour will be made to visit this beautiful city and discover the interesting parts. Secondly, we head to Rabat, the capital of Morocco since 1912.

Day 3: Rabat - Casablanca - Essaouira

In the morning we will continue our tour towards the beautiful road that will take us to the Atlantic, we will stop in Casablanca, the economic capital of the country to visit the second largest mosque in Africa, the famous Hassan II mosque, one of the highest temples in the world and one of the few mosques in which non-Muslims are allowed to visit

Day 4: Essaouira - Marrakech

In the morning after breakfast, you will have free time to explore the city and its beautiful, white, and clean medina that was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, it also maintains all the charm and authenticity of the streets near the sea, centuries ago it was the largest port in Africa and today it is an important tourist attraction and a destination for surfers.

After lunch, we depart to Al Madina al Hamra (Marrakech). Accommodation at the Hotel/Riad.

Day 5: Marrakech - Medina Sightseeing Tour

In the morning after breakfast, you will visit Marrakech city known as the Red City, the fourth largest city in Morocco and one of the 4 imperial cities.

Furthermore, Marrakech is a vibrant city where there is a permanent party as you can see in the famous Jemaa el Fna square, which for several centuries has been the most popular theater in the world with snake charmers, musicians, dancers, storytellers, pythonesses, actors, fortune tellers, etc.

Day 6: Marrakech - Ait Ben Haddou - Valley of Roses

At 09h we come to pick you up and depart to Kelaat M’gouna. First, we drive to the High Atlas Mountains and cross the famous challenging curves known as Tizi N Tichka, enjoying the mountainous green, landscape, full of Amazigh (Berber) villages located at the edge of the mountains.

Along the way, several pauses will be made to enjoy this fantastic landscape that offers the High Atlas Mountain range, an elevation of 2260m. Moreover, continue the way until we reach one of the best places to enjoy photography, the Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a mud village that was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO since 1987, the Kasbah was entirely built of rammed earth, adobe, clay breaks mixed with straw, also it was a major trading center between North Africa and sub-Saharan countries, also several movies have been filmed such as the Jewel of the Nile, Jesus of Nazareth, Babel, Game of Thrones.

After free time for lunch, we continue the journey to Ouarzazate: a city known as the gateway to the desert and also known as the “Hollywood of Africa”, in this city exit the Atlas studios, and following the road we will pass through the palm grove of Skoura which was planted in the XII by the Almohad Sultan Yakub al Mansur, in that valley exist the most beautiful kasbahs of Morocco, usually next to the rivers as a defense of the territory.

Day 7: Valley of Roses - Dades - Todra Gorges - Merzouga

After breakfast, we depart to Merzouga to reach the desert of Erg Chebbi. To begin, a stop will be made in the Dades Valley to enjoy the views of the palm trees as well as mud villages.

After a delicious Berber breakfast, we will get into the 4×4 to start our tour around the dunes of Erg Chebbi, (a desert region with golden dunes).

First, our journey begins with visiting the nomads who are well-known for their warm hospitality to strangers, in addition, they’re still living in traditional woven tents amidst the vast Sahara Desert, these beloved families will be happy to welcome you with a mint tea, also explore their simple way of life, contemplate spectacular landscapes. 

Next, we’ll explore the Kohl Mines that were once exploited during the French civilization.

Furthermore, you’ll visit the charming village of Khamilia, home to the Gnaoua people originally from sub-Saharan countries such as Sudan, Mali, and Niger, known also for their warm hospitality offering live performances of their traditional Gnaoua music.

Afterward, we’ll go back to the hotel. There the “desert ship” (dromedaries) are waiting for you to start a tour of one hour, making the way through the dunes, until you reach the heart of the dunes to see a beautiful sunset from the top of the great dunes.

Later, continue the camel ride to the desert camp where you will be welcomed with Berber Whiskey (tea with mint), enjoy dinner and enjoy the breathtaking starry sky, and sleep in nomadic tents.

Day 9 : Merzouga - Rissani souk - Tinghras - Merzouga

Waking up early morning is a must-do to contemplate the colorful sunrise in the middle of the desert. After breakfast, we head toward Rissani. First, Rissani is the capital of the region of Tafilalt originally in the seventeenth century of the current dynasty, the Alaouite.

Along the way, you can enjoy the landscape of the Errachidia reservoir that irrigates the entire area.

Then, cross the Tizi N Talghemt pass to reach the town of Midelt; known as the city of Apple and serves as the commercial center, in addition, it is one of Morocco’s principal cities for the mining of several minerals especially in Ahouley or Mibladen.

After free time for lunch, we will continue the journey to the Cedar Forest in Azrou to see the wild monkeys known as the Barbary apes. Finally, reach Meknes city. Accommodation in the hotel/riad.

Day 11: Meknes - Volubilis - Fes

After breakfast, you will have the morning free to visit the important points of Meknes, the name of the city, Meknes, is derived from the Mknasa, which was an Amazigh (Berber) tribe. Meknes attractions are, Bab-Mansur, in addition to historical landmarks such as Lahdim Square, Kara prison, and Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail.

After the visit, we depart to Fez city, on the way we’ll visit Volubilis, a Berber-Roman city located near Meknes, the origins of its name are the Latinisation of the Amazigh word Walili, which means oleander, which grows along the sides of this ancient city.

Day 12: Fes Sightseeing Tour

After breakfast, you will have a full day to visit Fez, considered the first and the greatest heritage of the four imperial cities in Morocco and the religious and cultural center of the country, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. 

First, visit different neighborhoods, such as the Mellah (the Jewish quarter), Fez el jadid (the new Fez) which was built after the arrival of the Andalusian refuges, also La Ville Nouvelle (New City) 

Also, Fez el-Bali, the ancient area, is inside the ramparts. In addition, the famous souk of Tanners and the handicraft procedure of medieval roots still manage to give those live colors to the leather.

Day 13 : Fez - Chefchaouen

After breakfast, we leave Fes and depart toward Chefchaouen, the blue pearl of Morocco and possibly the most beautiful and charming town in the whole country at the same time the most Andalusian of Morocco, the only one with tiled roofs.

Also, located in the foothills of the Tisuka and Megu of the Rif Mountains, which rise above the town like two horns. Plus, the name is derived from the Amazigh language (Chefchaouen in Amazigh means: “look horns”). Furthermore, a city with very little car traffic, as well as very clean and tidy.

Day 14 : Chefchaouen - Tetouan - Tangier
