Day 1: Marrakech - Ait Ben Haddou - Rose Valley

The journey begins with a pick-up from your Riad/hotel at around 9 am and a drive toward Kelaat M’gouna. First, we will cross the famous twisted curves of the High Atlas Mountains, an ideal place for lovers of photography.

Along the way, pauses will be made to enjoy the panoramic views of the beautiful, green mountains with an altitude of 2260m, full of Berber villages. Furthermore, you will visit the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a fortified village declared a World Heritage site by Unesco since 1987, It’s also a fantastic village where several movies like The Mummy, Alexander, and Game of Thrones were filmed.

After free time for lunch, we will continue our journey to Ouarzazate, a city located in southern Morocco, often referred to as the “Gateway to the Sahara’’ it is a gateway to both the stunning landscapes of the High Atlas Mountains and the vast Sahara Desert, a pause will be made at Taourirt Kasbah.

Then, continue the journey until you reach Kelaat M’Gouna town known as the Valley of the Roses which is a producer of damascene roses that serve as the basis for making natural cosmetics. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in the Valley of Roses.

Day 2: Kalaat M’gouna - Todra Gorges - Merzouga

After breakfast at the hotel, we depart to the desert of Erg Chebbi. Firstly, we will stop to visit the Dades Valley which offers a unique blend of red and ochre-colored rock formations, lush greenery, and traditional Amazigh villages.

Moreover, the second stop will be in the Todra Gorges where you will stroll through the beautiful gorges, enjoying these wonderful, big canyons full of Berber villages and palm trees, a spectacular landscape that will make you fall in love with this part of the Atlas.

After lunch in the Tinjdad village, we will continue until we reach Merzouga Desert which is one of the highlights of the tour to begin the camel ride to the heart of the dunes, witness the breathtaking view of the sunset from one of the highest dunes.

Later, continue the camel trek to the desert camp located in the middle of the Desert, once you have arrived a mint tea and delicious dinner will be served and you’ll have the chance to listen to Berber music played by local nomads around the campfire under a sky that is full of stars.

Day 3: Merzouga - Tazzarine - Ouarzazate

Waking up early morning is a must-do to contemplate the spectacular sunrise from the beautiful dunes. After breakfast in the camp, you will return with your camels to the hotel, then we take our way back to Marrakech by way of the Acacias (the Acacia is the most isolated tree on the planet), and it is found in the driest and most arid deserts, the fruit that has the acacia (Tifiza) we Amazighs use it as a natural medicine for headaches, it is mixed with tea, also the tree is a paradise for shepherds in summer thanks to its shade in harsh desert areas.

During the trip, we will pass by several places such as Alnif, Tazzarine, Agdiz, and Gebel-Mduar which is a mountain located 10 km from Rissani in the shape of a crater that once had a natural fountain at the top, three walls were built in three sections from top to bottom to contain the water in the nineteenth century by black slaves who were to be sold in “the Portuguese prison” although there is no record that there has never been any prison and less Portuguese in the area, a road leads to the top where you can see possibly one of the most spectacular sceneries in Morocco.

Also, visit the beautiful Draa Valley, the longest river in the country 1100 km, which comes from the High Atlas and flows into the Atlantic Ocean north of Tan-Tan, we continue to Ouarzazate through the Anti-Atlas, (Ait-Saoun).

Finally, we will arrive at the Riad/hotel in Ouarzazte in the evening.

Day 4: Ouarzazate - Talouet - Marrakech

After breakfast, we depart from the hotel in Ouarzazate to Marrakech. First, we will stop at the Atlas Studios, one of the most famous in Africa, which were founded by the businessman Mohamed Belghmi in 1983, the studios can be visited (optional).

Second, from there continue our journey passing by the Ounila Valley to Talouet, an ancient Kasbah that was home to the Glaoua family, the last Pasha of Marrakech. Finally, cross the High Atlas Mountains and arrive in Marrakech in the afternoon/evening.
