Day 1: Marrakech - Ouarzazate - Dades

The journey starts picking you up at your riad/hotel at 8 am in Marrakech and we depart toward the Dades Gorges. First, we drive through the famous twisted curves of the High Atlas Mountains enjoying the beautiful views over the mountains, full of Berber mud villages.

Furthermore, several stops will be made to enjoy the scenery and take pictures, as well as visit one of the cooperatives where the local Berber women will teach you the process of making Argan oil. Moreover, we will visit the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, declared cultural heritage of humanity by UNESCO, a fantastic mud village where several movies like Gladiator, Queen of The Desert, and The Man Who Would be A King were filmed, you will visit this best-preserved Kasbah of all Morocco.

Day 2: Dades Gorges - Merzouga

After breakfast at the hotel, depart to the Merzouga desert. First, we stop at the Dades Gorges which are famous for deep and narrow gorges, with towering rock walls on either side. The Dades Gorges provide fantastic opportunities for hiking and exploring the natural beauty of the area.

Moreover, a pause in Todra Valley, a beautiful place full of nature and ancient Berber villages, as well as Todra Gorges which is a popular destination for rock climbers, and the limestone cliffs offer various climbing routes for climbers of different skill levels.

After free time for lunch in the village of Tinjdad, we continue the journey to reach our destination, the Merzouga desert. Dinner and accommodation at the hotel in Merzouga.

Day 3: The Desert - Nomad family - Khamlia

After breakfast, we start a 4×4 off-road excursion toward the village of Khamlia; a desert village 7 km from Merzouga.

A different itinerary, this time, you will be able to explore the culture, habits, and customs of the inhabitants, the Gnawa people, descendants of black slaves, with live performances of their traditional music and the display of instruments, mostly percussion with which they dance and accompany themselves in their songs.

In addition, you will visit the kohl mines of M’fis, as well as visit some nomadic families living in the middle of nowhere, and the Oasis of Tisrdmin. Day 4: Erg Chebbi Desert - Fez

Wake up early is a great idea to glimpse and be amazed by the impressive African sunrise from the great dunes. After breakfast, you will return to the hotel, where we will take the 4×4, leaving the desert toward Fez.

Along the way, we will pass through Erfoud town, Tafilalet palm grove, the Ziz Valley as well as the Errachidia reservoir. Plus, we will have free time for lunch in Midelt and continue the way to visit the Azrou forest and the town of Ifran; known by the nickname “the little Moroccan Switzerland”. Finally, we will arrive in Fez in the evening. Dinner and overnight at the riad in Fez.

Day 5: Fez Sightseeing Guided Tour

After breakfast, at 09h a local guide will accompany you to explore and enjoy the city of Fez “the cultural capital and the third imperial city of Morocco”. The visit includes the Royal Palace, the Jewish quarter, Bab Bou Jeloud (the blue door), the ceramics workshop, and the Borj Nord, one of the panoramic views of the city.

Also, discover old Medina with its narrow streets full of crafts, monuments, and places like Chouwara tanneries (a place where animal skins are tanned), in addition to Medersa Attarine (Koranic school that was built in 1310). Finally, return in the afternoon to the hotel/Riad. Dinner and overnight in Fez.

Day 6: Fez - Airport
