Rabat City
Rabat: Capital of Morocco since 1912 and the second city of the country, an administrative and university city.
Also, It consists of three zones, the oldest located at the opposite end of the medina is known by the name of Chellah, of Almohad roots, later the Almohads decided to make it the capital of their empire, and al-Andalus was part of it.
Moreover, this future great city was surrounded by an enormous perimeter of walls, and the construction of a great mosque with its minaret known as the Hassan Tower was begun, both monuments are still visible but were never finished due to the defeat of the Almohad army in Al-Andalus.
Plus, the constant departures of the Moors caused many to move to this empty city, and in the corner facing the Atlantic, they built a wall, known as the Andalusian wall, which is now the perimeter of the medina of Rabat. In fact, the city has the honor of having been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. During the protectorate, the city was drawn, with white houses, churches, and an excellent art architecture that still stands today.
